I was watching this quiz show on tv
not long ago (spicks and specks)
when up came the question: name
3 places that were named in the
song 'Ive been everywhere' and the
2 teams found it difficult to name
even 3! I thought I wonder how

Filling up the petrol tank with David Johnstone

Well so far I have given Bono directions

and delivered pizza to matthew knights
and we now have a 3rd celebrity that i

have run into. Went to Apco the other day

to fill up and i looked over at the pump next

to me and thought to myself that guy looks

a lot like David Johnstone the former channel

7 news reader that i havent seen on tv in a while and i knew

he was now living in Bendigo so there was a chance that it

was him. Went to the counter to pay and saw him pull out

his card with him name on it and that confirmed that it was

definately him. He had a very nice car too. So he joins bono

and matthew knights who is now the coach of essendon as

the famous people i've met by being in the right place right time.

Bringing you up to speed

well i'll start with the basketball game
on monday the scoreboard says we won
but apparently it was a draw. We are now
on a 2 week break so we have some time to
re group before the finals which we will
hopefully win. now on to the bigger news

I have left the dominos pizza delivery
driving job so i wont be delivering to
matthew knights anymore even tho i
only did it once. I am now working at
a butcher.

Also i am currently living in farrell court
and i have been doing so for 2.5 years
but this weekend i will be moving out
as Erica and I have picked out the house
in which we are going to be living in when
we get married. As of Saturday I will be
at 1/48 Happy Valley Road which will be
the 4th house in bendigo i have lived in
and we wont have the internet there...well
not straight away. So i will be taking a blog
break. Well a break from not much blogging
is that really a break since i dont blog much.

Coach Craig comes up against former coach

Late last year my friend asked me if i could
play basketball in 30min before the game
started and im still playing and after a slow
start we are now quite a force in our league
and in what was a very close game a few
weeks ago the scores were level with 2 seconds
to go and we scored a goal right on the siren
and won the game.

now to last weeks game when i entered the
court i noticed a familiar face a few months ago i
was all set to coach golden square u12's and
so i met the club president who is also a coach
and he began showing me the ropes and stuff
then i got another job so at the last minute i
pulled out. Then during the game i saw him
playing for the opposition. I didnt know he
played basketball and he didnt know i played
and the game went on and we crossed paths
a few times and i played my best game so far
scoring 3 goals. The end result was that we
won and i can tell he wasn't to happy about
that so did he shake my hand at the end?
no he didnt. Now for the burning question

was my good form and the win motivation
to beat someone that i know?

was it a complete fluke?

is his team not very good?

does he even remember who i am and did
he forget that i exist?

is this bad sportsmanship?

Craig delivers pizza to Matthew Knights

I really should rename my blog
to the pizza delivering adventures
of Craig because that's what the
last 3 posts have been about, well
last night I was out delivering a
pizza when i looked at the recipt
and it said it was for Matthew
Kinghts and i thought hmmm
could it be THE Matthew Knights
because even though he used to
play for Richmond I know that
he now lives in Bendigo and does some sort of work
with the Bendigo Bombers and it was in what i thought
was an expensive part of town so there was quite a good
chance that it was him. Well i got to the house knocked
on the door with a tap tap tap i thought if it was him he
might be hard to recognise cos he retired in 2002 but
sure enough the door opened and it was him. which
means he currently holds the record for the most
famous person i delivered to which wouldn't of been
hard because he has beaten the guy from the toyota
ads with the moustache.

the suicidal dog

was delivering a pizza yesterday and i turned
into olinda street then discovered that i had
turned right when i needed to turn left to get
to the house i was after so i was about to turn
around when this dog jumps out in front of me
so i honked for him to move and i swung left
and so did he then tried to get around him
and he was only a little dog so i couldnt always
see where he was i could only hear his bark so
the chances of hitting him were quite good, so
i was moving slowly and braking whenever he
was in front of me. eventually i was able to get
away from him as he went onto the footpath its
almost as if he wanted to get hit or he thought
it was a game. Good thing the pizza wasnt late
cos i could hardly say i got held up by a suicidal
dog.

interesting people managers are they have
the power to build or bust you, my 1st thought
of managers is someone old whose been working
in the industry for a long time Not always the
case, I have 2 jobs: Kelly sports and dominos
at the minute both of which involve having a
manager, Both of my managers are quite
young infact they're the same age, they have
both recently turned 22 and im about to turn 21
i never thought i would be working under the
management of someone only 12months older
than me just goes to show you dont need to be
old to be a manager and if i want to be 1 im not far off
thats my 2 cents tell me about your manager

domino effect

well i have been relatively busy lately mainly
because i have been working at dominos for
the last 3 weeks or so as a delivery driver
and it has been interesting and im enjoying
it, few things have happened so far
1. the manager is a friend of Trav's from
creek street who i already knew, kind of
surprised that he rememberd me.
2. i went to do a delivery to Dale st in
kennington which i had never been to
before so once i found it i went there
and knocked on the door and to my
surprise this guy that i know from
youth (matt dawson) opened the door
and we were both quite surprised to
see eachother. he said "I didnt know
you worked for dominos" and i said
i didnt know you lived here. That was
cool so he gave me a tip.
3. I was surprised at how much of
bendigo i actually knew. Plus ive gotten
better at reading maps
4. The k/flat manager also knows Trav

went back to Kelly Sports today and it
was at maple street primary school
which coincidently is the school where
we held our kids4life program over the
holidays, so at 1st i started walking towards
the classroom that we mainly used and then
realised wait a minute this isnt where im
suppose to go so i turned around and went to
the office.

Now many of the kids from the
program were at the school so as i was
waiting for the kelly sports kids to arrive
I saw a lot of kids from the program walk
past and because i played the role of a guy
named Douglas at the program as they all
walked past everyone was saying 'ITS DOUGLAS'
so it was nice to see all the kids again and
have them remember who i was because
the opposite happened when i was at the
program some of the kids from kelly sports
came along and some of them didnt remember
who i was. Anyway it was a bit of fun.

interesting scenario

ok this is one of those interesting stories
about running into people like the one i
told in the previous post. It goes like this:

i was walking down the street because i
was going somewhere ( i cant remember
where exactly) and i looked up and saw
2 people that i know walking towards me
one of them was a girl who went to creek
street and was a few years above me and
she lived in the same street as me, may of
been a friend of karens. The other person
was a girl who was one of my friends that
i hadn't seen for a while and use to go to
my youth group.

Now these 2 people didnt know eachother
but i knew both of them and i noticed that
they were walking side by side and as we
kept on getting closer and closer i realised
they will both want to say hello when we
meet and with the way it's situated i mite
not be able to talk to both or even say
hello to both so the tragic thought was that
i might have to 'choose' which one i want to
talk to more and the other might have to be
ignored. So this was a decision that had to be
made quickly so i thought whos it going to
be? it was like a game who will win the right
to talk to me??? and as it turned out the
winner was the friend that i hadn't seen
in a while mainly because she was the 1st to
make eye contact but also she was the friend
the other was just someone that i knew.

Pretty cool story hey? has this happened to
anyone else??????

A moment of madness

well this past 2 weeks ive been doing kids 4 life
which was a lot of fun and i had a great time
doing it. Here are some of the things that
happened:

1. we often numbered off to see if everyone
was around and it was alphabetical and i
was number 1 so i had to start it off by saying
'1' and after a while i just said 1 whenever
things went quiet.

2. Jokes - at meal times people often get
asked to tell jokes which comes along with
a rhyme and i am on my 3rd mission now
and on the last night i told my 1st joke
here it is:
2 fish are in a tank one said to the other
'do you know how to drive this thing'
and heres the rhyme: 'we want a joke that
we must have we want a joke from the
brother of trav' - thanks alot Trav

3. another cool thing was mario party which
we played a little bit of some of which was
late at night - there is quite a story behind
that which i wont reveal here.

4. Then i had a moments of madness
on the Thursday i wasnt able to go to
the program because i had an interview
in woodend and that was fine afterwards
i went to target to buy something and
then i saw one of my friends (Roxanne)
who was working there, now normally she
works at target in bendigo. So when i saw
her i was quite surprised and had to think
where i was for a second i thought i was in
bendigo. She to was surprised so we stopped
and had a chat and it turns out she was
doing stocktake so in an amazing coincedence
we were both in the small town of woodend at
the same time and ran into eachother.

What happened in December

the only news i have to report is
that i am engaged to Erica as of
December 21st after we have
been going out for 12 months.

what happened in November

i didnt have time to blog last month
so here are some of the things that
happened:

1. Basketball return a few weeks ago
my friend Zoe called me to at 7.10 to
say that Luke (her boyfriend) has a
basketball team and they were short
on players and needed a few people
to fill in so they asked me to play and
the game started at 7.40 so i dropped
what i was doing and drove out to the
schwepps centre i didnt have basketball
shorts and the shorts i did have had
pockets so the ref so i had to wear my
shorts inside out which was weird anyway
they only had 4 players and i was one
of them it wasnt easy at 1st cos i hadnt
played in 8-9 years so i was relativly
quiet in the 1st half then took it up a gear
in the second half and even scored a goal
all things considered we only lost 53-42.
Ive played the last few weeks as well and
now have proper shorts and am better at it.

2. Catalogue fever - yes hello i deliver catalogues
and generally about 6-8 per week but things
have been really busy over christmas and this
week i have 19 different catalogues which has
been a nightmare so i packed the back room with
over 10,000 catalogues and decided to sleep there
in order to stay focused on the job at hand.

3. kelly sports i went to cal gully primary school
for 2 weeks then decided that i didnt like going to
that school very much and was hoping for a different
school and i got one i was needed at Goornong so i
went there for 2 weeks after doing that for 2 weeks
i actually said to myself i want to go back to cal gully
and i got my wish.

Well my coaching career is in full swing
after been a coach with Kelly Sports for
the last 12 months or so I decided to apply
for coaching jobs with Golden Square footy
club when they advertised for new coaches
for next season in the paper and after a long
wait i got interviewed and after an even longer
wait i got offered a job as an assistant coach for
12 months under someone whos really good
before i go and coach my own team, so thats
pretty cool, you may have seen the movie
Coach Carter but now its my turn.

Craig joins Circus

thats right i went to Kelly Sports on
Tuesday and we were doing Circus
skills which was interesting since I
knew nothing about circus skills so
I had to improvise I was incharge
of spinning plates, ribbons and ring
toss teaching them something I had
never done before myself was quite
interesting all I did was ask the kids
if any of them would like to step up
and give me a demonstration cos
most of them had a fair idea of what
to do.

Also I realised the other day that I
have made a slight difference among
the kids at Kelly Sports in Term 2 I
went to Comet Hill Primary school which
is just up the road from where I live
and when I 1st went there, there
was 1 of the girls there that wasnt very
active and didnt enjoy much physical
activity then the other day I was driving
home turned into and saw
crossing the road and she was riding
her bike. 1 point to me

My $100 Shirt

I brought a shirt the other day

which looks like this only slightly

different the store was having a

sale so that was handy the tag said $20 bargin! then I

looked at the price under it and it was $100 it could of

being an error in the printing of it, which is quite likely

but a $100 for $20 is pretty cool and since im not the

one who brought it i got it for free!!

Grand Final

Well the AFL Grand Final was on again this year and it was a great game between West Coast Eagles and the Sydney Swans as many of you may know my team is West Coast so my church put on a big luncheon and it was a great time then the big game started and it was very close actually it couldnt get any closer and in the end it was the West coast Eagles that won the premiership by 1 point, which was awesome because when i was young my family wanted me to go for Geelong and i went along with this for about 3 weeks then i decided i dont want to go for Geelong ill go for this team that they're playing here insted which happened to be West Coast it happened to be the grand Final and they happened to win. Since making the switch the premiership scoreboard reads: West Coast: 2, Geelong: 0. So it has turned out to be a pretty good decision to make the move, its also cool to see your own team win the premiership because many supporters have followed their team all their life and never really get to see their team win a premiership this is this case at the moment if you support teams like: Melbourne (64) Geelong (63) Bulldogs (54) Saints (66) and up until last year Sydney (33). Anyway thats probably all the footy talk you'll get until next year. Craig

My visit to the MCG

The other day I went to the
MCG (quite a good place to
go since none of the victorian
teams are using it) anyway I
was there for an info session
on an organisation called AFL sports ready
the session was run by a guy named Paul
Broderick who use to play for Richmond I
only really remember him because of the
computer game AFL 98. After the session
we had 1 on 1 interviews with some of the
staff, i got the regional manager of Bendigo
which was Peter Flandia who played for
Sydney most people would remember him
as the guy who got a 10 week suspension in
the VFL for doing something bad. Anyway
the it all went well I was hoping to get on the
ground after the session to have a kick but we
were'nt aloud. Speaking of MCG thats where
the grand final will be played on saturday
between West Coast and Sydney, GO EAGLES
should be a good close game, hope your all
watching!!

Goodbye to the Tic Tac Phone

this is the phone that I won at bendigo senior
in year 12 and it was like woo hoo free phone
and its a fragile phone i know this because
Charles had one and he broke his. Later down
the track Dale got one too and after about 2.5
years i said goodbye to the "Tic Tac" phone (it
looks like a tic tac) the other day and I upgraded
to a samsung phone and it does a whole lot more then the tic
tac it takes pictures and sends emails (maybe) and many other
things it mite even call people if your lucky, and its a flip top.
So Dale is the only surviving member of the tic tac phone group.

you might wonder why i chose the name Mr. Blog
for my blog, after nearly 12 months im going to tell
you. When people are really passionate about
something they end up with the nickname Mr. then
whatever that passion is. In cricket Mike Hussey
has the nickname Mr. Cricket. When we had our
cricket team we named Stefan Mr. Cricket, these
are the only 2 examples i can think of right now
if anyone else knows of someone with this kind
of nickname please tell me, anyway thats why
i named my Blog: Mr. Blog, unfortunately and
Trav will probably agree I havent really lived up
to having a passion for blogging, it just comes and
goes, anyway thats my 2 cents

Tassie Return

Yup! ive been in tassie all week
I did many enjoyable things while
i was there, here are some of the highlights:

the KFC building
the chocolate factory
walking round the streets of Hobart looking for ice cream
playing pass the pigs
the 19 hour bucks party
trav's stuff up of taking us to the wrong backpackers
seeing many shops with the name "world"
the buffet restaurant - all you can eat
spending a week with a good group of people
and of course the wedding

here are some quotes from the week:

"nothing plane about our burgas" - a sign at the airport

Bono asks Craig for directions

I went to Clogs restaurant on Thursday night with Cara and Rachel
then when the time came to leave I went back to the car which
was parked along the main street, just standing there talking when
a car pulls up and the guy asks for directions to the Metro pub at 1st
i thought you dont want to go there, their indoor cricket team isnt very
good, but i didnt. We gave him the directions then he was on his way
then i thought to myself hmmmm "that guy looked a lot like Bono
from U2" then thought "hey U2 are ment to be playing at Metro Pub really soon"
then i put 2 and 2 together and realised that it was Bono!!!
well im not 100% but he looked a lot like him, so for the
purpose of good blogging it was Bono.

is everyone quitting?

i went to call the dude in charge of my catelogue job
and he says "im not in charge anymore the people
who normally run it are back from holidays"
so i called them only to discover that they have quit
the business. Thought nothing of it for a few hours
but then i got a phone call from one of the girls at
salvos (employment agency) to see that my consultant
Amanda has Quit and this person is taking all her clients.
I sure hope none of these people quit because of me. Anyone
else out there quit anything recently. Perhaps Tim should write
a blog about Quitters.

Southern Uni Games

hey all, i had a week in Ballarat of volunteering
at the southern uni games it was a lot of fun and
i got to be the scorer for a few games. Plus i got a
free drink bottle for filling out a dodgy survey.
I stayed at Travs house and apart from the ice on
the car it was a good time, a bit of a taste of what i
missed out on after deciding not to go to ballarat uni
a few years ago. Also a similar program has come up
in bendigo (its a hockey tournament) so that is a real
chance to do the same thing except Here in Bendigo.

On The Road Again

well i did lots of driving this weekend
and it all started on Saturday Morning
when i drove to Geelong to see my team
(West Coast Eagles) play Geelong in footy
it was abad game at first 14 minute mark
of the 3rd quarter Geelong led by 54 points
but from there on it was all West Coast
kicking 11 of the last 13 goals to win by 3 points
well that was the best game i ever went to
then i drove home that night. This win gave me
8 out of 8 in tipping

Now on sunday i drove to Ballarat in the afternoon
for an info session on the Southern Uni games and
after that caught up with Trav for a few hours and
then we cooked sausages. Well i went to bed and got
up nice and early and drove back to Bendigo to be at a
job seeker class by 9:15, i parked the car at 9:13

then went to Kelly sports in Campbells Creek
and when i got home from that i can say that
ive never driven so much before in a short space
of time.

i saw a job in the paper about casual day staff
at a mcdonalds store in Kangaroo Flat all we had
to do was go to the store at 9am with our resume
and they would interview us then, only 1 problem
i got there and found out that i went to the wrong
store, the interviews were been held at the bendigo
maccas, so i drove there and by the time i got there
i was too late. Dont know what excuse i can give for
missing my job seeker class.

Funny Story

almost 10 years ago i played basketball
in my school team (creek street) and we
played against the team from Comet Hill
a few times and they use to beat us by quite
a lot, then last week i went to Comet Hill
primary school as part of my job with
Kelly Sports and i was teaching the kids
there how to play basketball.

Footy Tipping

i have been doing footy tipping again
this year and have been since 1998.
and im off to one of my best starts to
the year ever after 6 rounds i have 30
which is an average of 5 per round at this
rate i will get 110. Generally in footy tipping
we start the season badly and get better so if
i can get better from here im looking at a very

well it looked like this weekend just gone
(which was also my birthday weekend) was
going to be huge but it turned out to be not so
big after all

there was going to be a sleepover after youth
group and it was CANCELLED
Time: 7pm - 12pm

then on saturday morning there was going to
be a youth group event on a farm out in
mandurang and it was also CANCELLED
Time: 12pm til 3pm

then the Bendigo mission meeting went ahead
and that was good

then Emily had a 21st which also went ahead
Time: 7:30 til 10pm

then after the party went back to a friends place
to watch a movie which also went ahead
Time: 10pm til 1am

as you can see all these events were going to
happen and when one of them finished the other
one would start, so it would be moving from one place
to another with no time for anything inbetween.
It would of gone from 7:30 on friday til 1am sunday
insted it didnt start until 3pm Saturday

by having a job interview today in Malmsbury for

Grand Final Fever

I mensioned our youth group netball team a few months
ago and after a 6 point semi final win last week against
the top team we are in the grand final this thursday night.
We have come along way considering we started off by losing
most of our matches and i think this is my 1st grand final
in any sport, we are playing a good team but who knows
were in the final anything can happen now.

Indoor Cricket Update

Well our indoor cricket team is up and running
we have played 6 matches so far won 2 and lost 4
we won tuesdays match because the other team
forfeited so we won on a technicality but hey a win
is a win, our highest score is 126. I was man of the
match a few weeks ago because i battered really
well against the top team of A grade

My Gym Return

Last gym visit: November 15th 2005

when i droped out of my course i left
with the intension of going back to the
gym sometime and of course i havent
rushed into this since i havent gone
back yet. I keep putting it off for
different reasons but i almost went
back there today, i ran out of time
next week is looking good, does anyone
else have things in their life that they keep
putting off?

well after much searching i now have a job
at Kelly Sports in Bendido, an organisation
that do fitness clinics for primary school kids
i have to go to a training session on wednesday
and i guess if i get through that i will make it

2005 in review

Warning: this could be long

Jan 1-8: started the year in warnambool for mission
very excited about what went on and ready to
go again next year, altho very tiered by the end
of it all.

Jan 12: got into Cert 3 fitness at tafe

Jan 29: moved in with Stoz and John at Farrell court
and im still here, enjoying it.

Feb 8: first night of my fitness course and excited
about what was ahead and the oppotunities that
came from the course

Feb 21: went to my first gym session

Mar 4-6: had a youth camp which was the best one
i had been on so far

Mar 13: threw one of my friends (Dean) a surprise
birthday party, which he really enjoyed and took
a lot of preparation but it was all worth it.

Mar 16: Started going out with Cara

Mar 24: Had my first tafe assessment and it turned
out to be much harder then i thought and got it right
on the 3rd attempt and after much studying of muscles

Apr 28: my 19th birthday, one of the most low key
birthdays that i had cos i didnt do much and 19 isnt
exactly a significant number

may 25: got my car service which took 8 hours when
they said it would take 4, this made me quite angry
cos i planned other things to do that day, which didnt
get done.

June 5: On this Day Cara and I broke up and Karen
and steve started going out.

June 14: Had another tafe assessment and passed 1st go
this time, after i did some computer work i would be ready
for work placement at a gym.

June 24: Got work placement at Evolution gym after been
a member for 4 months and doing the fitness course. this was
quite exciting as i was really enjoying the course i was in and
was one of the 1st people in the course to be ready for work
placement.

July 4-8: went to the Hillsong confrence in sydney and at first
wasnt too good and i got worn out from it, but towards the end
i was really starting to enjoy it and came back very glad that i
went there.

July 17: This was when we got the chance to speak up front
about the hillsong confrence and i took that chacne and have
definately benefitted from doing it, cos it gave me great
oppotunities later on.

July 18: For my gym placement i needed 2 friends to become
members of the gym i was at so i asked Tim Myers and Dale
and they both agreed then came the process of continual gym
visits for the next 3-5months.

July 28: Our youth group started a mixed netball team and
we didnt start out well losing our first game 44-11 but we got
better.

Aug 6: went to warnambool with Trav and Chris to promote
mission and get people to sign up and we meet a guy called Jim
who said he was a Beetle. It was a very funny day

Aug 23: had a speaker at tafe ( john Doherty) who talked about
his journey through life when he got really sick and only just
survived he was very inspirational.

Sep 9: had a shot at the last assessment to become a fitness
instructor and failed which was a bit of a downer and later
that day i almost got hit by another car and by my calculations
had my 300th youth group night at short street

Sep 24: Grand Final Day and my team West Coast Eagles
made it and it was a great game oven tho they lost, im
happy with the year they had

Oct 1: I got a Blog, which i havent used much

Oct 14: had another go at the last tafe assessment and
failed it again, had a lot of work to do to pass on the 3rd go

Oct 27: our netball team is now compeditive and is winning
games

Nov 4: I was the speaker at our youth group which worked out
really well and was pleased to have been given an oppotunity
to do these things

Nov 18: Guys Sleepover at the church which didnt involve
sleeping and was lots of fun

Nov 23: I withdrew from doing the last tafe assessment after
many gym sessions, was disappointed that i was unable to walk
away with a certificate after 10 months of work but now im job
seeking.

Dec 19: had a group job interview for a traineesip but didnt get the job

Dec 21: I am now Going out with Erica

Dec 25: christmas which was very different this year to most years

Dec 30: that is the end of the year with a new years eve party
tomorrow, well it was a pretty good year all up and i am looking
forward to 2006 and what the oppotunities it will bring

My return to indoor cricket

when i was 13 i played 2 seasons of indoor cricket
and one of my friends wants to start up a team and
i got asked to play so after 6 years i make my long
awaited return to indoor cricket, it probably won't
be til next year but i'm looking forward to getting
back into it, and a suggestion for our team name is
'The Scott Muller All-Stars'

Our Youth group started up a mixed netball team
a while back and we made the finals which we played
tonight i didnt play because of a back injury and it was
hard work watching them from the sidelines and the
team we played was the team we lost to last week 18-14,
well this week we lost 42-8, altho we've starting playing
much better as a team as the season has progressed
and new season starts next week so we could really stand
a chance to win much more often

Well on Friday i offially enter the world of job seeking
i have started already tho and i must say that even tho
ive only been to one interview which was for a tafe course,
i really dont like the way interviews are done partly because you
have to tell them how good you are and how great you will
be at the job, in my eyes you can be qualified you can be well groomed
you can be on time but most importantly you have to be quite
arrogant to have any chance of getting the job same thing applies to resumes,
does anyone else see it this way??
